It's fascinating to me that we still have so many (all things considered) stars from that era still with us, Mickey Rooney, Joan Fontaine, Olivia deHaviiland, to name a few. Life is so different now it almost seems an anomaly that they're still here, if that makes any kind of sense. My preferred music these days is 30's and 40's swing and the Andrews Sisters is in heavy rotation on my oldies station today.
