Therefore, when someone, such as yourself, suggests books like THE REAL LINCOLN that show the other side, I very much appreciate it.
Thank you Amy.
It will be on my list.Historical Kenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04979801752112100293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-56451385109293718.post-68017999318125162792009-04-01T11:09:00.000-04:002009-04-01T11:09:00.000-04:00Hi Ken! I used to say -- when I was headed off to shop -- that I was "going to visit my friends". :) I saw you got a book on Lincoln, and I don't know if you enjoy reading up on differing (some might say controversial) views of our history, but I have a book I read a couple of years ago called THE REAL LINCOLN by Thomas J. DiLorenzo that I found to be pretty interesting.

Now, I'm a southerner, so I'm inclined against Lincoln... :) ...but I also don't take everything I read as fact -- I try to research what I read to discover if the "facts" can be backed up, rather than being just someone's "learned" opinion. Anyway, I found this book to be enlightening with regards to Abe Lincoln, his agenda, and the war itself.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15183354814224320009noreply@blogger.com
